About the Class
Build Confidence with Epoxy and Woodworking
Whether you've never worked with epoxy before or you're looking to improve your skills, Bark to Board's Epoxy Class is designed for all experience levels.
This immersive, hands-on workshop teaches participants the complete epoxy process—from preparation and mixing to pouring, sanding, and finishing. Our goal is simple: give you the knowledge and confidence to create your own epoxy projects long after class is over.
Each class is a two-day experience consisting of two 1.5-hour sessions. On Day 1, participants will select their wood and epoxy color, prepare their project, and complete the epoxy pour. On Day 2, you'll return to sand, finish, and complete your tray. Together, the sessions provide 3 hours of hands-on instruction and project time.
What You'll Learn
- Proper epoxy mixing techniques
- Pouring and leveling epoxy
- Surface preparation
- Sanding and finishing methods
- Project planning fundamentals
- Tips for scaling up to larger epoxy furniture projects
The Project
Create Your Own Epoxy Serving Tray
During class, each participant will build a beautiful 12" x 24" epoxy serving tray from start to finish. Because epoxy requires curing time, the project is completed over two sessions. After pouring your tray on Day 1, you'll return the following day to sand, finish, and complete your project.
This project is designed to teach the core skills needed for larger builds. Once you understand the process on a serving tray, you'll have the foundation needed to create coffee tables, dining tables, charcuterie boards, and other custom epoxy pieces.
Included With Your Project
- Wood materials
- Premium epoxy
- Finishing supplies
- Safety equipment
- Expert instruction
- Your completed serving tray to take home
